Juliet
Juliet is a Texas gal with a big personality. She is a one year old, spayed, house trained, female Aussie weighing in at just 26 lbs and can do a Texas Two Step
This little gal is a double merle Aussie. A double merle is the result of breeding a merle to a merle. She seems to have quite decent vision, although you will see she has a starburst pupil which doesn’t always react properly to light, so she may be light sensitive. The very light sensitive double merles can wear doggles, but we very much doubt this girl will need any accommodation like that. The vet says she also seems to hear fine. The good news with double merles with these kinds of effects due to their genetic background is that the sight and hearing are stable — no progression to worse hearing or vision over the course of their life is typically seen.
She is a bit shy but nothing concerning. She’s a very sweet and gentle girl. We would say make sure she isn’t being overwhelmed, no kids taking food from her until you get to know her. Just the normal stuff to look out for in all dogs. She’s young and wants to play!

Sir Griffin
Sir Griffin exhibits all the qualities of a knight of the realm: bravery, courtesy, honor, and gallantry. This 4 year old neutered, 53#, black tri is waiting to find his new castle and court. He comes from a home where he was loved deeply. But, due to major life changes his family made the excruciating decision to re-home him and has entrusted New Spirit with this responsibility.
Sir Griffin is enthusiastic about everything: so, there is a bit of pulling at the beginning of walks, a slow feeder bowl and he is working on walking in and out of the house slowly (much progess has been made: less pulling and he will sit and wait to be invited outside). Counter surfing and taking any opportunity to grab an extra snack are features of his high energy, zest for life personality. His friendly personality and manners are just a couple of his assets. He rides great in the car and crates overnight – his crate, bed, and dish come with him. As he is food motivated and enthusiastic about everything, Sir Griffin will easily adapt to any home and activity. Though a bit unsure at first, he embraced the grooming salon and was wonderful at the Vet clinic, where he received a medal for being so well behaved and brave. Up to date on vaccines, bloodwork and fecal testing.
He has lived with a female dog and 2 cats, though the cats did not appreciate his quest to relegate them to the basement. Sir Griffin wanted to play with the other dog, but she was not interested. He has joined his foster siblings in classic Aussie tournament games: chase, tug and wrestling. And, is respectful of their quiet time.
Ideal home: Active person(s) with a playful dog friend. Dog savy kids 10 and older. No cats, small
animals (bunnies, chickens, birds). He would love lots of snuggle and scratches, too. A fenced yard with lots of play time and activities with his people are very important, otherwise he may take up an
unapproved quest to save the kingdom.
Sir Griffin is fostered in Bristol/Canandaigua, NY
